HON. SEGUN ODUNUGA KAKA’S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES

Hon. Kaka

In a bid to empower his constituents and enhance their quality of life, Hon. Segun Odunuga Kaka has embarked on several community development projects. On Monday, December 30, 2024, he distributed ₦8 million to members of his constituency as a relief measure and empowerment for the end of the year celebration.

One of the notable projects is the erection of 100 poles with world-class solar panels, courtesy of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi. This initiative aims to provide adequate lighting for the community, enhancing safety and security. The solar light project is a significant milestone, considering that the majority of capital projects in the constituency are self-sourced.
Hon. Kaka also announced that a mini grid power house is under construction, which will provide electricity to Tekun Oga, Obada, Abapan, and Eye 3 areas of the constituency. This project will bypass areas that already have federal light, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently.
Emphasizing the importance of community support, Hon. Kaka urged the people to maintain the borehole provisions made to the constituency. He stressed that government cannot do everything alone and that community members should support the government’s efforts by maintaining every little contribution made to the constituency’s development.
When asked about Governor Dapo Abiodun’s contributions, Hon. Kaka acknowledged the governor’s significant achievements, including the completion of the Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road and the construction of health centers with yellow roofs. He also commended the governor’s completion of the world-class Igan road, spanning about 300 km.
The beneficiaries of the monetary relief for the season included various groups and individuals, such as:
  • Community Leaders: Olorituns of Iwaya Ilaboru (₦500,000), Baale of Ago Iwoye (₦500,000), and Baale Oru League of Men, Ifelodun (₦500,000)
  • Market Women: Oru (₦300,000) and Ago Iwoye (₦400,000)
  • Religious Group: CAN (₦500,000)
  • Youth and Community Groups: Youth Forum Ago Iwoye (₦100,000), Osugbo (₦300,000), Erelu (₦200,000), Agbero (₦200,000), and others

These initiatives demonstrate Hon. Segun Odunuga Kaka’s commitment to empowering his constituents and improving their quality of life.
