Ogun State Reaffirms Support for Nigerian Police: Commends Bravery, Dedication

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian Police Force’s vision and goals.

Speaking at the closing dinner of the 2025 Conference and Retreat of Senior Police Officers (CARSPO) in Abeokuta, Abiodun praised the police for their bravery and dedication to safeguarding the nation.

Abiodun, represented by his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, urged participants to strengthen their bonds, reaffirm their commitment to justice, and return to their duty posts with renewed determination. He expressed optimism that the retreat would lead to impactful policies and initiatives that would enhance law enforcement, internal security, and economic growth in Nigeria.

The governor commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to national security, acknowledging the substantial resources invested in strengthening the nation’s security architecture. He also appreciated the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the entire Nigerian Police Force for their relentless dedication to safeguarding lives and property.

In his remarks, DIG Frank Mba, representing the Inspector General of Police, emphasized the retreat’s purpose: to learn, relearn, interact, and exchange ideas to advance the police and enhance national security. Mba commended the state government, stakeholders, and contributors to national security efforts.

The event featured a presentation of an award to Governor Abiodun and a cultural performance by the Ogun State cultural troupe. ¹
