ODogbolu LG Chairman Celebrates Kobowore of Odo Jobore on First Coronation Anniversary — Pledges Completion of Health Centre and Police Post

In a remarkable display of unity, progress, and appreciation for traditional leadership, the Executive Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Oyetola Diya, joined the people of Odo Jobore Kingdom on Friday, July 25, 2025, to celebrate the 1st Coronation Anniversary and Thanksgiving Service of His Royal Majesty, Oba Olufemi Sunday Olalekan Ogunbanjo (Sapenuwa I), the Kobowore of Odo Jobore.

The grand  celebration, held at St. Michael Anglican Church, Odo Jobore, near Omu, Ijebu-Ode, was attended by an array of esteemed guests including traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders, political figures, and proud indigenes of the kingdom.

 

 

As part of the anniversary event, Hon. (Dr.) Diya joined in laying the foundation stones for two key community projects — a modern healthcare centre and a police post. These initiatives, according to the Chairman, are aimed at improving healthcare access and ensuring security for the people of Odo Jobore and its environs.

Delivering his goodwill message, Hon. (Dr.) Diya praised HRM Oba Olufemi Ogunbanjo for his transformative leadership and unwavering commitment to community development.

“Kabiyesi is a man of peace and progress. This foundation we lay today symbolizes the collaboration between the palace, the community, and the government. These projects will be delivered with quality and dedication because they reflect the core of the I.S.E.Y.A. agenda of our visionary Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON,” he stated.

The event was further dignified by notable royal fathers whose presence underscored the cultural and developmental significance of the occasion, reinforcing the synergy between traditional institutions and local government. From across Ijebuland were;
