Ogun 2027: PDP receives boost as Legacy donates ₦2 Million to Party
* Declares intention for Ijebu Ode State Constituency
Popular Ijebu-Ode politician, Hon. Yusuf Abiodun Oludaisi has officially declared his ambition to contest for the Ijebu Ode State Constituency seat under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon Oludaisi popularly known as “Legacy”while addressing party leaders, members, and supporters during his declaration, reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation and grassroots development of his constituency.
In 2023 general elections, The Tracker recalled that, Hon. Oludaisi flew the party’s flag.
The current seat is occupied by Hon Bakare Omolola Olanrewaju of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Speaking further, described Ijebu Ode as his lifelong home and political priority, stressing that his deep roots in the town have given him first-hand understanding of the people’s expectations and developmental needs.
He stated that having lived in Ijebu Ode from birth till date, he remains fully connected to the daily realities of the people and is prepared to offer purposeful leadership that will bring effective representation, stronger voice, and tangible dividends of democracy to the constituency.
Hon. Oludaisi used the occasion to commend Ladi Adebutu for his courage, consistency, and uncommon sacrifice in sustaining the party through difficult political periods. He pledged unshaken loyalty to Hon. Adebutu, assuring party members that he would continue to stand firmly with the leadership and never betray the confidence reposed in him.
He also announced Hon. Olayinka Oseni as the Director General of his campaign organization, noting that the campaign structure is designed to strengthen grassroots mobilization across all wards in Ijebu Ode.
The declaration ceremony witnessed massive attendance by party stakeholders, including the Ijebu Ode Local Government PDP Chairman, Hon. Kehinde Ajetunmobi, members of the local government executive, representatives of all 17 ward executives, and collegiate members across the local government.
Speaking on behalf of party leaders, Hon. Kehinde Ajetunmobi applauded Hon. Oludaisi for his continued support, financial commitment, and loyalty to the growth of the party in Ijebu Ode.
Also speaking, Hon. Ladi Owodunni described Oludaisi as a dependable and committed party man whose loyalty to the party and to Hon. Ladi Adebutu has remained consistent over the years. He said such dedication has marked him out as a deserving aspirant for the party’s ticket.
In a major highlight of the event, Hon. Oludaisi donated ₦2 million to support party activities in Ijebu Ode, a gesture that drew loud applause from party members and further reinforced his commitment to strengthening the party structure ahead of future political engagements.
The declaration ended on a note of unity and renewed determination, as party faithful expressed confidence in a stronger and more united PDP in Ijebu Ode ahead of the coming political contest
