
The Iperu, Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State is poised for unprecedented growth and development as the state government prepares to commission the Gateway Aviation Estate located along Iperu/Ilisan road, the estate is a significant housing project that promises to transform the local economy and improve the lives of residents.
According to the Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, the Gateway Aviation Estate will provide affordable housing units to subscribers, complete with necessary amenities such as pipe-borne water, electricity, good road networks, and a police station.
He noted that the project has already generated approximately 5,000 jobs for skilled workers, including bricklayers, plumbers, roofers, and aluminum fabricators.
This injection of employment opportunities is expected to stimulate economic growth and development in the area.
Commissioner Omoniyi noted that the Gateway Aviation Estate is part of the state government’s efforts to provide affordable housing and contribute to the state’s GDP as the administration, led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, has promised to do more in this regard.
The estate, which is being developed in phases, has already seen the completion of 100 units out of a proposed 200.
Setting the wheel in motion the Ministry is set to commence the second phase, aiming to meet the demand for housing in the area.
