OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting community development projects across the state.
Governor Abiodun made this known during the grand finale of Remo Day 2024, held at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu.
The Governor emphasized the importance of community involvement in the development process, stating that his administration would continue to provide an enabling environment for community initiatives and self-help projects.
Preservation of Cultural Heritage
The Remo Day celebration was hailed as a shining example of how culture and tradition can bring people together. Governor Abiodun noted that the celebration would continue to foster a sense of pride and identity for the people of Remoland.
Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, highlighted the Federal Government’s commitment to cultural development, citing the establishment of the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy.

The event witnessed significant donations, including ₦20 million from Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and ₦25 million from Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, towards the development of Remoland.

All in all, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, expressed gratitude to Governor Abiodun for his support in making the maiden edition of Remo Day a success.
