Tinubu Reinstates NTA DG and ED of News, Reverses Recent Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the reinstatement of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Dembos, originally appointed in October 2023, briefly vacated the position following recent management changes but will now resume office to complete his three-year tenure.

The President has also reinstated Mr. Ayo Adewuyi as Executive Director of News, allowing him to continue in the role until the end of his tenure in 2027. Adewuyi was appointed in 2024.

This decision nullifies the previously announced appointments of a new Director-General, Executive Director of News, Executive Director of Marketing, and Managing Director of NTA Enterprises.
