The Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Inter-Ethnic Affairs, Hon. Monday Chukwuji has urged the Igbo Students across the State to rally support for the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, Yayi ahead of the upcoming governorship election.
He also called on them to also support the Senatorial ambition of his principal , the current Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun in Ogun Eastern part of State.
Abiodun’s aide who made this known on Friday at this year “Igbo Day” celebration organized by the Federation of Igbo Students in Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro said that the APC governorship candidate has proven to be the best man for the job.
He maintained that Senator Yayi has impressed the good people of Ogun State with his developmental strides not pmly in his Senatorial District but beyond.
Hon. Chukwuji also appreciated his principal for giving him the opportunity to serve his people for two terms, describing leadership as one of a kind.
He urged the Students not to allow anyone to intimidate them or force them to support to support any other candidates. He also advised them to get their voter’s cards so that they can able to vote on the election day.
“We are here today to celebrate with our people, the Federation of Igbo Students in Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro on Igbo Day celebration. This comes up everywhere and this i made it important that i have to be here today to let our people know where to go as the general elections is near the corner. The Students are fully in support of the APC governorship candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, Yayi and my principal, the silent achiever, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun, we are supporting them because of their outstanding performance. We all know what Senator Yayi has done and what our governor have also done so far. I have been in government for 8 years. The governor made me two-term SA. He never discriminated against any tribes. The Igbo community is fully in support of his Senatorial ambition. Wherever i go, my people will go, although Yayi is yet to see us but i told my people very soon , he will” he concluded .
He therefore urged the Igbo students to continue to promote their culture without any rancour.
“My advice is that as they celebrate today, they should continue to be united and be peaceful, the lord with be with you”
Also the President General Of Igbo community, Earnest Mba said the essence of the program is to promote their culture and unite the students.
He commended the students for their efforts and commitment in promoting Igbo’s culture on the campus.
The President General also hailed Abiodun running an inclusive government in the State, saying that he has never discriminated against them.
According to him, Governor Abiodun ov has delivered real progress, empowered communities and transformed Ogun State.
He maintained that the Governor has touched all local governments in the State in term of development.
He also disclosed that the community has decided to support his candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, Yayi to become the next governor in 2027, promising to mobilise massive votes for him and his deputy.
Also the new Igwe OJINNAKA 1 of Federation of Igbo students Federation University of Technology, Ilaro ogun state , Eneh Emmanuel ugochukwu has appreciated his colleagues and the elders for finding him worthy of the position.
He promised to work tirelessly in ensuring that there is unity and peace among the Igbo students on the campus.
Igwe OJINNAKA1 also assured of their full support for the APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He appreciated the Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Ethnic Affairs for his presence, saying that he has shown an exemplary leadership.
