A pastor whose name was not identify has been arrested after a mentally unstable man attacked his church members with cutlass during deliverance in a church service in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that the pastor of the church claimed he could heal the madman and started praying for him.
While the deliverance was on, the madman who could not hold his calm, took a cutlass from the altar and then slash one of the worshipers causing a deep wound.
The police spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident to news men said that the owner of the church has been arrested.
He also said that the victim has been rushed to the hospital and is recovering.
“the suspected unsound mind has been taken to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation and medication, and his relatives are under interrogation in a safe custody. Further details shall be communicated, please.” he added.
