NIGERIAN ARTISTES STIR THE SHIP: SPREADING LOVE AND KINDNESS THIS CHRISTMAS

As the calendar flips to December, a palpable excitement fills the air. The world is abuzz with the promise of Christmas, a joyous celebration that transcends cultures and continents. This festive season weaves a spell of enchantment, transporting us to a realm of wonder and magic.
Amidst the twinkling lights and festive carols, Christmas embodies the values of love, kindness, and generosity. It’s a time for reunions, for sharing stories and laughter with loved ones. The scent of freshly baked cookies and the sound of sleigh bells evoke a sense of nostalgia, reminding us of childhood memories and simple pleasures.
But does the present economy situation in the world and especially in Nigeria today give room to the common citizen to have a feel of this ancient delight? Don’t really know how many common families will be so exited to walk boldly to the market and buy rice, jollof ingredients and chicken this season, not to talk of buying colorful clothes and shoes for their children, nor the decorations. Majority seems to be at a dead end.
Amazingly, some of the Nigerian artistes in the likes of Folarin Falana(Falz), Oladipo Daniel Oyebanjo (Dbanj), Aituaje Iruobe (Waje), Omotunde Adebowale -Davids, Patience Ozokwor, Chimezie Imo, Tope Tedola, Funke Akindedle (Jenifa) Lateef Adedimeji, Omowunmi Dada, Bisola Aiyeola, Juliana Olayode (Toyo Baby), Nanacy Isime, Jide Kosoko, Chinenye Nnebe, Isaac Olayiwola (Layi Wasabi), Jide Awobona… all came together and created a fantastic song culled from the very features of the season and called it Everybody Love Christmas.
This video released on the 3rd December 2024, trending on social media presently seems to have reawaken people towards the usual buzzing season as the atmosphere seems rejuvenated inspite of the inflation rate on commodities at the moment. Those that have virtually resigned to low key Xmas are now all out for shopping.  If you also need the nugget, WATCH this VIDEO

However, as we deck the halls and trim the tree, let us not forget the true spirit of Christmas: a celebration of hope, joy, and the human connection that binds us all. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, let us pause to appreciate the beauty of the season – the snowflakes gently falling, the crackling fireplace, and the warm smiles of those around us.
As Christmas Day approaches, let us spread love, kindness, and compassion to those around us. Let us remember the true meaning of the season and strive to make a positive impact on the world. In doing so, we’ll create a Christmas to remember, one that will be etched in our hearts forever. MERRY XMAS IN ADVANCE.
