* Notes Band members prayed but God says his time has come
The Personal Assistant to late gospel singer Toluwanisings, Babadunni, has narrated the circumstances surrounding the death of his boss.
He disclosed that the singer was reportedly rejected by about 10 hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State, while efforts were being made to save his life.
Babadunni, who made the disclosure in a viral video circulating on social media, said some of the hospitals could not admit the singer because their doctors were on strike.
According to him, the late gospel artiste was in good condition before he suddenly slumped, prompting an emergency search for medical attention.
He added that one of the hospitals explained that its doctors were participating in an ongoing strike, further complicating efforts to secure medical attention for the singer.
Babadunni revealed that the members of the band and those around him prayed for his life but God said it was his time.
“He was very fine and in perfect condition. He just slumped. He was rushed to different hospitals in Ibadan but was rejected.
“We took him to about 10 hospitals in Ibadan, but God said it was his time. We prayed and prayed, but God said it was his time,” he said.
However, the circumstances surrounding the reported hospital rejections have not been independently verified.
