NYSC Members to Receive Increased Allowance of N77,000 from February 2025

Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has announced a significant increase in the monthly allowance of corps members. From February 2025, NYSC members will receive a monthly allowance of N77,000, up from the previous amount of N33,000.
Ahmed made this announcement during a meeting with the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members in Katsina State. He confirmed that the Federal Government has included the increment in the 2025 national budget, and the new allowance will take effect as soon as the budget is passed.
Priority on Corps Members’ Welfare and Security
The NYSC DG also assured corps members that their welfare and security remain a top priority. He stated that corps members will not be posted to areas with security challenges, ensuring that they serve in safe and secure environments.
Ahmed urged corps members to reciprocate the government’s gesture by serving the nation diligently during their service year.
