Ado-Odo/Ota LG Partners Apostolic Faith Church, Crawford University to Tackle Flooding

 

The Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu, has emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the persistent issue of flooding in the area.

He made this call during a courtesy visit by the District Superintendent of the Apostolic Faith Church Mission, Reverend Lasisi Olowosile, to the Local Government Secretariat in Ota. Representatives from Crawford University were also part of the delegation.

Alhaji Wasiu reiterated the council’s readiness to partner with both the Apostolic Faith Church and Crawford University in identifying and executing developmental projects aimed at mitigating flooding and improving the welfare of residents.

“Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government is committed to working closely with the Apostolic Faith Church and Crawford University to address flooding and other developmental challenges in our communities,” he stated. “We believe this partnership will bring about positive results and contribute meaningfully to the overall progress of the Local Government.”

In his remarks, Reverend Olowosile described the visit as an opportunity to express gratitude to the current administration for its proactive approach in managing flooding and other environmental issues within the locality.

He commended the Council Chairman and his team for their dedication and encouraged them to remain steadfast in delivering on their promises to the people.

Also speaking during the visit, the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Junaid Wasiu, welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of continued collaboration. He called for the mission’s support in areas such as revenue generation and project execution across the Local Government.

He further urged the Apostolic Faith Church and Crawford University to maintain and deepen their partnership with the council to ensure sustainable community development and improved living standards for residents.
