MAPOLY Launches Digital Platform For Processing Academic Records
The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has commenced the electronic processing of academic documents with the introduction of its MAPOLY Integrated Central System.
The institution said the initiative, which aligns with global best practices, is designed to simplify and fast-track administrative procedures for students and graduates.
The digital platform, known as MAPOLY Integrated Central System, serves as a one-stop portal for academic services, aimed at eliminating bottlenecks associated with the manual processing and collection of documents.
According to the management, the platform—developed under the framework of Sorting Peculiar Educational Administrative Knots Seamlessly—represents a major step towards repositioning the polytechnic and improving service delivery.
It added that while all academic records had been successfully migrated to the system and would be activated in phases, the Notification of Result had become fully operational.
Graduates can now process and print their Notification of Result directly from the platform without visiting the campus.
Speaking at the unveiling of the first electronically generated Notification of Result, the Rector, Koye Jolaoso, described the development as a milestone in the institution’s digital transformation drive.
He congratulated stakeholders on the successful rollout and presented the first copy to a graduate of the Department of Accountancy, Ajayi Precious, who graduated with distinction.
Jolaoso said,
“This marks a landmark achievement in the digitalisation of our processes. It reflects our commitment to efficiency, transparency and improved service delivery.”
The polytechnic also recalled that its Academic Board had approved the replacement of the Statement of Result with the Notification of Result, effective from the 2024/2025 academic session.
To safeguard the system, the management noted that only students with verified profiles would be granted access to process and print documents.
It added that the Notification of Result comes with enhanced security features, including a QR code for verification and authentication.
The institution further disclosed that the platform would soon accommodate additional services such as transcript processing, generation of Industrial Training letters, printing of SIWES certificates, and real-time tracking of certificate processing.
“With this system, students and alumni will be able to access and process their academic records seamlessly from anywhere in the world,” the management stated.
Students experiencing difficulties were advised to utilise the platform’s helpdesk for support.
