A governorship aspirant, Abayomi Hunye held a parallel governorship primary at his Ward in Tube, Ipokia local government of Ogun State.
The election which was monitored by The Tracker, witnessed massive crowd and it was conducted peacefully.
Hunye while speaking to journalists after casting his vote, denied insinuations of his disqualification, saying the crowd at his ward showed his popularity among the people in the State.
He alleged intimidation of his faithful across the State, saying he ensured peaceful atmosphere at his own ward.
Hunye appealed to President Bola Tinubu Governor Dapo Abiodun to make sure the votes are counted without no bias and not allowing evil people in the party to destroy democracy.
He urged the President and the Governor to allow the people to make their choice which he believed he is the people’s choice.
His words: ” There is a rumour flying about that I have been disqualified. Why will I have this crowd, if I am disqualified, it is a lie. I am the people’s choice.
I want our President to do the right by declaring me winner of this primary. Some bad people in the party that want to impose politicians on people. They ( politicians) should allow me to chose for themselves. I remain the people’s choice”.
He said ” Governor Dapo Abiodun is a good leader and I know he will do the right thing. He is part of my success story”.
