The Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, emphasized the importance of unity between the Ijebu and Remo divisions in achieving the creation of a new state from the old Ijebu Province.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting held at his palace in Sagamu, Oba Ajayi stressed the need to put past differences aside and work together towards this common goal.
To drive the process forward, Oba Ajayi proposed the establishment of a 14-man committee, comprising seven members from each division, to work closely with their respective paramount rulers and report back within a month.
The paramount ruler also paid tribute to the late House of Representatives member representing Remo Federal constituency, recognizing her dedication to service and efforts towards achieving the new state creation.
