“Daniel Denies Partiality at 20th Annual Family Thanksgiving”

Otunba Gbenga Daniel has reaffirmed his commitment to creating a new state from the old Ijebu Province, comprising Ijebu and Remo Divisions.

Speaking at his 20th annual family thanksgiving held at Abraham’s Tabernacle in Sagamu, Daniel denied being partial in his efforts to facilitate the creation of the new state and broker peace between the two divisions.

He emphasised the need for unity and cooperation among stakeholders to achieve this goal.

However, the Akarigbo, in his goodwill message, urged Daniel to remain impartial in the issues surrounding the creation of the new state .

Daniel’s dedication to this cause is evident, as he has consistently advocated for the creation of a new state from the old Ijebu Province.

His commitment to unity and cooperation is crucial in facilitating this process.

The former governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun East family’s thanksgiving was a grand event that brought together dignitaries from across the state and beyond, well-attended, the event was a testament to his influence and respect in the community.

The former Primate of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, Most Rev Peter Akinola, being the guest minister in his sermon urged the congregation to cultivate the habit of praising God despite the challenges facing the country.

The event was graced by several prominent personalities, including: The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland: Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland: Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewa land: Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, Immediate Past Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom: Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Isola, Alhaja Salmot Badru: Former Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Femi Pedro: Former Deputy Governor of Lagos, Olor’oogun Sonny Kuku: Ogbeni Oja of Ijebu land, Prophetess Esther Ajayi: Renowned prophetess and philanthropist.

Engr. Babatunde Adewale Odufuwa, the Chancellor of Southwestern University, Chairman of Governing Council of the Lagos City Polytechnic who was the chairman of the day.
