Enugu Rangers FC Clinches 9th NPFL title after defeating Ikorodu City FC

By Michael Adesanya

Rangers International F.C. have etched their name deeper into Nigerian football history after defeating Ikorodu City F.C. 2-1 on Sunday to win the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.

‎The victory at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos secured Rangers’ ninth league crown, drawing them level with Enyimba F.C. as the most successful clubs in NPFL history.

‎Heading into the final day, the Flying Antelopes knew only a win would guarantee the title regardless of results elsewhere, and Fidelis Ilechukwu’s men rose to the occasion in a tense and fiercely contested encounter.
