Gov Abiodun Promotes VIS Officers In Ogun

Several officers of the Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS), Ogun East, have been promoted and formally decorated in recognition of their diligence and service to Ogun State. The promotions were approved by the Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CFR, while the decoration was carried out at the Ijebu-Ode Zonal Command office.

The Zonal Commander, Engr. Ogundele Adewale S., explained that the exercise followed directives from the State Director of VIS, Engr. Ademehin Adewale. He noted that the elevation of the officers represents a call to higher responsibility.

“Every assignment must be carried out with the interest of the agency at heart. Do it to promote and enhance the Vehicle Inspection Service in all your endeavours,” Engr. Ogundele urged.

Also speaking, Engr. Odugbesi Taiwo, Commander of the Ijebu-Igbo station, reminded the newly decorated officers that their new ranks demand greater dedication. “If you have been giving a hundred percent before, now you must give a hundred and ten. Higher rank comes with higher responsibility and commitment,” he said.

The Head of Abigi Area Command, Engr. Adegbite Kehinde, added that the promotions were a reward for diligence and hard work, designed to encourage the officers to redouble their efforts.

Engr. Ogundele further charged the officers to uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism while on duty.
