Ogun-East Assembly Backs Tinubu for Second Term, Endorses Yayi for 2027 Governorship …Celebrates Senator Adeola at 56

The Ogun-East Assembly for Yayi, a political support group in Ogun State, has formally endorsed President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for the Ogun State governorship race in the 2027 general elections.

The twin endorsement was announced on Sunday during a grand celebration at the Omo-Ilu Open Ground, Ijebu-Igbo, held in honour of Senator Adeola’s 56th birthday and to publicly declare support for his governorship ambition.

In his opening remarks, Convener of the Ogun-East Assembly Political Family, Hon. Samuel Adejare, described Senator Adeola as a political figure whose influence cuts across divides, having undergone political tutelage under President Tinubu.

“Senator Adeola’s journey is a shining testament to his unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Ogun West in particular, and Ogun State in general,” Adejare said. “His tireless efforts have empowered countless people, leaving a lasting impact and inspiring a new generation of leaders.”

Also speaking, former Senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Kaka, congratulated Adeola on his 56th birthday and wished him continued success in public service. “Fifty-six years on earth is no small feat. We rejoice with him and his followers in the Ogun-East Assembly,” Kaka noted.

Former House of Representatives member for Remo Federal Constituency, Hon. Taofeek Buraimo, praised Adeola’s commitment to improving lives in Ogun State and across Nigeria. He described the senator as “a seasoned politician and statesman who has championed numerous initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of countless individuals.”

The colourful event attracted a large turnout and was attended by top members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, including Senator Lekan Mustapha, Senator Gbenga Kaka, Hon. Femi Ogunbanwo, Hon. Funmi Afuwape, Hon. Abudu Balogun, Hon. Otun (Kope), Hon. Olaseni Koiki, Hon. Segun Kaka, Hon. Razaq Daddah, Giwa (Dr.) Niyi Osoba, Otunba Adewale Oshinubi, Hon. Olusegun Ogunleye, Ms. Bukky Onabanjo, Hon. Onamusi, Hon. Tele Ogunjobi, Prince Akin Onalaja, and Alhaji Mutiu Adenuga, among others.
