
Dr. Gloria Shoda, President of the Africa Regional Council of Women (ARCW) and Yeye Apesin of Iperu Remo, has paid tribute to the late Alaperu of Iperu Remo, Oba Adeleke Idowu-Bashibo.
In a heartfelt condolence message, Dr. Shoda expressed her deep sadness over the monarch’s passing, which occurred last Thursday.
Dr. Shoda extended her condolences to the entire Idowu-Bashibo family, particularly as they remembered Olori Kehinde Idowu-Bashibo, who passed away exactly a year ago.
” I’d like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire Idowu-Bashibo family. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time, especially as you remember Olori Kehinde Idowu-Bashibo, who passed away precisely a year ago. Please accept my sincerest condolences during this difficult time”.
She prayed that the fond memories of Oba Idowu-Bashibo’s life and legacy would bring comfort and strength to the family during this difficult time.
As Yeye Moye of Remoland, Dr. Shoda also commiserated with the people of Iperu Remo, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, and the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi. She acknowledged the significant loss of a fellow monarch, friend, and prominent member of the Remo Traditional Council.
Dr. Shoda highlighted Oba Idowu-Bashibo’s dedication to the development of Iperu Remo and his visionary leadership, which will never be forgotten. She prayed for the soul of the monarch to rest in peace and for his memory to be a blessing to all who knew him.
Dr. Gloria Shoda is a renowned figure in women’s empowerment and leadership, serving as a member of the International Council of Women (ICW), France, and the Founder of the African League of Women Voters (ALWOV).
