Popular Nigerian comedian and singer, Oderhohwo Joseph Efe Widely known as “Carter” Efe or Machala has revealed that Afrobeats sensation Ahmed Ololade, Popularly known as Asake was chased off the stage during his concert at London’s O2 Arena last year.
Carter who gave this revelation during an episode of the “Spill With Phyna” podcast, said the management of the venue turned off the lights after the Grammy-nominated YBNL signee finished his performance.
He claimed that the western treats Nigerian artists anyhow, but Nigerian artists still go back to collaborate with them.
“The management of 02 Arena turned off the lights during Asake’s performance at the venue last year. Westerners treat us anyhow, and we still go back to them. They chased Asake off the stage. They put off the lights. I’m not lying,” Carter Efe said.
