Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday night said he gave the former Governor, Senator Gbenga Daniel his structure and support to emerge as the candidate and his eventual victory to become the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District.
Abiodun disclosed this at his private residence in Iperu when leaders of the Senatorial district came to present their resolutions, picking him as their consensus candidate for the district in the forthcoming general elections.
Abiodun said there are many sponsored media contents against him, saying he had left Senator Daniel to his ” conscience”.
He revealed that the dust raised about the candidacy of the Senatorial district would soon be settled.
According to him, “There is no opposition really, but opposition within, when the dusts settle we will know.
I know what I did for Governor Daniel to be senator. I give him my structure and support. I know what I did for him. I leave him to his conscience”.
He said the party remain one united family in the State, assuring that the State would delivered his consensus governorship candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, President Bola Tinubu and all elective positions in the State.
On his nomination, he said he would offer Ogun East Senatorial District best representation in the history of the district.
