No Presidential Primary in Ogun – ADC Chairman, Soluade says

The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun State, Hon. Femi Soluade has said that there was no presidential primary election took place across the state, citing lack of logistics and preparations by party officials.

Speaking to journalists in a telephone interview on the situation, Soluade stated that as of 5:00 p.m., there was no indication that any primary election exercise would be conducted in the state.

According to him, reports from local government party chairmen confirmed that no electoral materials or logistics had been deployed for the exercise.

“There is no presidential election in Ogun State. We only had a congress and nothing more. This is 5:00 p.m., and I don’t know if any primary election is going to take place,” he said.

The ADC chairman further stressed that information reaching him from party structures across the local governments showed that the process had yet to commence anywhere in the state.

“From the local government chairmen, I can confirm that there are no logistics in Ogun State as I speak,” Soluade added.

Our correspondent reports that loyal Party members besieged the State Secretariat located at June 12 Campos, 12 Itoko Road State Party Secretariat to inquire about directives, logistics and mobilization but the Chairman pacified them when they became restive and apprehensive in their choice of their desired presidential candidate.

Also, our correspondent learnt that,the party leadership in the State, contacted the Chairman of Presidential Primary Committee, Mr. Adeniyi Adams but he refused to update them.
