The US Agency for International Development (USAID) faces an uncertain future after Elon Musk revealed that Trump supports shutting down the agency. USAID’s funding has been frozen, and dozens of employees are on leave. The agency’s headquarters in Washington was closed today, with employees advised to stay home.
Cabinet Nomination Battles
Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s nominee for spy chief, will meet with GOP senators this week to address concerns and garner support. The Senate Intelligence Committee will vote on her nomination tomorrow. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., another contentious Cabinet pick, may also face opposition ahead of a Senate vote.
